Francesca is a Melbourne-based session musician currently playing for Mallrat.

 

Francesca picked up her first sticks when she was 11 and has since racked up a long history of noise complaints from angry neighbours across her hometown of Melbourne. 

 

She jumped into playing live shows with several Melbourne bands as soon as she turned 18. Francesca's musicality saw her playing across a wide variety of genres, including post-punk, musicals, pop, folk, and shoegaze. 

 

Francesca began to really find her stride as a session musician after spending several years drumming for Wollongong singer/songwriter, Bec Sandridge. She has since played with the likes of Hayley Mary, Ella Hooper, Cry Club, Yi-Lynn and Darcy Spiller.

 

In 2019, Francesca founded her company Rockhopper Records which is dedicated to supporting other musicians from diverse backgrounds follow their dreams in music.
