Matty has had the love of music and playing drums since the moment he could walk in Murrummbeena Victoria, Getting his first kit at 3 only fuelled the flames to a life long passion.

 

Playing in multiple school bands up until he moved to sunny Queensland to start high school. Growing his passion for drumming he played in several Brisbane bands with mostly pop punk and hardcore punk styles with a side in jazz,

 

Playing the live Brisbane circuit from the early age 16, he unfortunately had to give up playing at 20 to pursue his career and family goals. However his passion for music would never leave and he filled his time with playing guitars until finally finding himself in a great spot to reintroduce himself to the drums and a new project while being a busy Dad, Husband and working full time. It didn’t take long for him to find that the hunger and passion was as strong as ever.

 

Since returning to the drums he has recorded for various recording artists as a drum for hire and collaborated with many musicians overseas. He has made many friends along the way with his drum covers he shares on social media including cover videos and drum content.

Matty hopes to continue to share his passion for music and drums and looks to return to the live circuit again.
